New GymToSwim Collection

We are launching our new innovative GymToSwim ® Collection online only and as part of the Brighton Beach Collective pop-up store at The FAIR Shop in Brighton from May 4th, 2018!  The capsule collection is designed to be worn both for exercise and as swimwear, making it unique in the marketplace, and is made up of a beautiful collection of premium ‘mix and match’ sports separates providing versatility with style. RubyMoon believes women are not limited to one type of sport or workout, and their outfits shouldn’t be either, but should be as adaptable as the women that wear them. This is reflected in the exciting and multi-functional collection we have developed, which is available to pre-order now and will be part of the Brighton Beach Collective pop up shop from May 4th – June 4th. Our new website is now live – please take a look and tell us what you think!

Jo Godden has been designing swimwear for over 20 years, working for the likes of Victoria’s Secret and GAPBODY, and has setup RubyMoon as a not-for-profit business with both positive environmental and social impacts. The fabrics and garments are manufactured by ethical European suppliers and are certified by The Princes Accounting for Sustainability Project to produce 42% less carbon emissions as they journey from drawing board to final product. This has been achieved in part thanks to the sustainability of RubyMoon’s premium fabrics that are made from ECONYL® nylon yarn, derived from used fishing nets and other waste materials, which would otherwise end up in our oceans, something which is extremely detrimental to our environment and marine wildlife.

RubyMoon is partnered with Lendwithcare.org, an initiative of leading aid and development charity CARE International UK, which allows RubyMoon to invest in women entrepreneurs in 12 developing nations worldwide through micro-loans. As a result of these investments, women are financially empowered and provided access to better healthcare, education and nutrition for themselves and their families, lifting themselves out of poverty and poor living conditions with dignity.  Once the loans are repaid, these are reinvested back into RubyMoon, enabling the growth of the company, and consequently the number of loans that can be offered in the future. As a special honour to these women, each garment is named after one of the entrepreneurs invested in, including a multi-sports bra named Leilani – after an inspiring entrepreneur from the Philippines who now runs a successful food and souvenir shop. The ethos of RubyMoon creates a ripple effect: each individual purchase of a RubyMoon garment contributes to implementing the larger vision of the brand, drawing women collectively towards a more self-sufficient and sustainable future that is fit for all.

The new GymToSwim® is produced ethically and designed beautifully – the capsule collection presents minimal aesthetics combined with artistic prints exclusively designed and donated by Sarah Arnett, and the vibrant exotic prints ensure the garments are unique. The collection is cutting-edge in its versatility as it decreases the need for multiple purchases and manufacturing through the ability to be worn in the gym and pool. The collection includes reversible sports separates & multi-sports bras made from Xtra Life ® Lycra and regenerated nylon, ensuring durability and high endurance performance, with prices ranging from £38 – £77. RubyMoon prioritises quality fabric as a key area of investment, in order to provide garments that are chlorine and sun-cream resistant for over 100 hours of exposure, lasting twice as long as similar products.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, empower women worldwide and your workout wardrobe with a new GymToSwim purchase! We here are all about women empowerment – the collections are designed by a woman with women, for women and to empower women.
